Summary:

Our Enterprise Data Management and Quality team is growing, and we're looking for an outstanding Senior Data Quality Analyst to join our team. As we advance our data management and quality capabilities, we want individuals interested in performing data quality profiling, measurement and reporting for data quality issue remediation for multiple areas. The Senior Data Quality Analyst will understand metadata for critical data and data issue management and be able to work collaboratively with internal teams and business partners to maximize resolution of data quality issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Architects, creates and maintains data solutions that drive automation in data management and quality processes
  • Works with business partners to understand requirements for data use, analysis, and quality
  • Monitors business perception of data quality to establish subjective quality measures
  • Profiles data from internal and external sources
  • Informs solution design and improvements to meet data quality goals
  • Liaises with Data Governance to communicate data quality issues and consults on remediation initiatives
  • Establishes parameters for a data / data set
  • Implements systematic data quality monitoring for both objective and subjective measures
  • Reports findings and works proactively with data governance, data curators, business systems to identify root cause and facilitate the remediation and improvement of data quality
  • Coordinates with data curators to ensure data accessibility and quality
  • Contributes to management of central data stores and metadata to establish quality expectations
  • Manages processes associated with data quality

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics or related fields)
  • 4+ years of experience in data quality related field and demonstrated experience working with or in business operations and reporting processes
  • 2+ years experience building data pipelines/solutions
  • 2+ years experience in executing data quality analysis exercises within complex, federated data, and system architecture
  • 2+ years experience translating business data needs into technical language and partnering with IT teams to ensure effective QA / UAT of solution delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, focusing on outcomes and results
  • Proficiency in Python or other data programming languages to build data pipelines/solutions
  • Understanding of OLAP, SQL, query, and Business Intelligence technologies/concepts
  • Financial Services background preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Data Management and Data Quality principles, best practices and processes
  • Technical knowledge, skills and experience using Data Management and specifically Data Quality tools, including understanding of relational databases, data warehouse concepts and SQL and query writing skills
  • Strong working knowledge of available data sources and how they relate to each other is desired
  • Collaborative working style and ability to facilitate cooperation with business stakeholders and analysts
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines
  • Strategic, intellectually curious thinker with focus on outcomes and results
  • Professional image with the ability to form relationships across functions
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies on the job
